## 1. What is Regenerative Agriculture (Regen Ag)?

Regenerative Agriculture is a practical response to the problems every farmer faces today: rising input costs, failing monsoons, and declining yields. Instead of fighting nature with more chemicals, we work with it – Building soil that holds water, grows nutrition rich crops, and naturally resists pests. It's not about going 'organic' overnight. It's about taking small, strategic steps to make your farm more profitable and more resilient, season by season.

## 2. How is Regen Ag different from Organic farming?

Organic farming is defined by what you remove (synthetic chemicals). Regenerative agriculture is defined by what you build — soil biology, nutrient density, and long-term soil carbon. An organic farm can still degrade soil biology using approved organic inputs; a regenerative farm is measured by whether soil health is improving year over year.

In practice: organic certification is input-based (a checklist of allowed/disallowed substances). Regenerative agriculture is outcome-based (soil biology tests, brix/sap analysis, water infiltration rates). New ViVa uses regenerative principles as the framework and treats organic-approved inputs as tools — not the end goal in themselves.

## 3. Does Regenerative Agriculture reduce crop yield compared to chemical farming?

**Not necessarily. It all comes down to Farm Management.**

In Regenerative Agriculture, the key is to supply the crop with the *right nutrients at the right time* to achieve the desired yield. The difference is, we do this while minimizing harm to soil biology.

With proper nutrient planning — using Chelated Nutrients, Cover cropping, bio-fertilizers, and targeted supplements when needed — we can **match or even exceed** current yields from chemical farming. And on top of that, we're steadily improving soil health season after season — which means better resilience, less dependency on external inputs, and long-term sustainability.

So, it's not about choosing yield over soil — it's about managing both, intelligently.

## 4. Is Regenerative Farming just Traditional / Natural farming with a new name?

No. Traditional and natural farming share some practices with Regenerative Agriculture — but Regenerative Agriculture is explicitly evidence-driven, using soil tests, leaf tissue and sap analysis, and peer-reviewed science to validate what works, rather than relying on tradition or folk practice alone.

Many traditional inputs are genuinely effective — but some are not, or work differently than commonly claimed. New ViVa's approach is to test each practice on its merits: keep what has evidence, correct what's misapplied, and flag what's simply untested rather than assuming it works.

Yes — soil microbiology, mycorrhizal function, nutrient cycling, and plant immune response to nutrition are all established, peer-reviewed science. What varies is how individual products or practices are marketed. Regenerative agriculture done rigorously means separating mechanistic, tested science from popular but unverified farming folklore.

## 6. What is the Albrecht Soil Balancing Model?

Developed by soil scientist Dr. William Albrecht, this model states that optimal crop health and yield depend on balancing the saturation levels of exchangeable cations (minerals) in the soil.
